This case report describes a 49 year old patient who developed glue embolism to multiple organs ;but lungs were spared; following endoscopic haemoeostasis. . She was known to have Child-Pugh class C liver cirrhosis secondary to alcoholic liver disease requiring multiple ascitic taps and OGD within past 3 months. She was admitted to with a two-day history of coffee coloured vomitus and <em>melaena</em>. She was then taken to theatre for urgent OGD - where gastric varix glued and esophageal varix were banded however, still being unable to achieve haemostasis so, Sengstaken Blakemore tube was also placed. On repeat bleeding from a banded varix, within 12 hours, she required further glue mix injected to another esophageal varix. Upon return to the ITU she rapidly deteriorated in terms of her oxygen requirements ,cardiovascular stability, neurology and renal functions. CTPA revealed embolisation of glue material scattered throughout the liver, small foci within the inferior spleen, bilaterally within the renal cortices and lower pole of right kidney and both the consolidated lung bases. There were also small foci within the left ventricle and within the coronary arteries. CTH CAP two days later showed: Evidence of bilateral occipital infarcts with evidence of widespread embolisation in the brain. Patient was referred to specialized centre. However, she deteriorated rapidly and died</p> 2022-05-01T00:00:00+01:00 Copyright (c) 2022 Innovat International Journal Of Medical & Pharmaceutical Sciences HEALTH-RELATED QUALITY OF LIFE AND ITS SOCIO-DEMOGRAPHIC PREDICTORS IN CANCER PATIENTS 2022-03-31T10:17:07+01:00 PANKAJ MANDALE NILESH PATEL <p><strong>Background</strong></p> <p>Health-related quality of life is a multidomain evaluation that analyses how the therapy and illness progression is impacting the patient's well-being and general functioning. The present work assessed the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of cancer individuals and its association with the socio-demographic parameters among advanced cancer patients.</p> <p><strong>Material and methods</strong></p> <p>A total of 500 patients were included in this study. The data were collected systematically via the use of standardized instruments. A standardized questionnaire, EORTC-QLQ-C30 (version 3.0), was used as the effective data collecting method in this research. After the data collection was completed, the data were analyzed using standard statistical software. Means and standard deviations (SD) were used as summary statistics for numerical data, and then ANOVA was used to compare the results. Because parametric tests assume that data are normally distributed, they were not applied. A P-value less than 0.05 was taken as statistically significant.</p> <p><strong>Result and observation</strong></p> <p>This study reported that 40.4% (n = 500) of cancer patients belonged to the 40–60 age group. This study also found that 30.2% of cancer patients are not involved in any income-generating activity. According to the findings of this research, more family income is connected to a higher quality of life. It has been shown that a higher socio-economic position is associated with several characteristics of better patient care, including having less anxiety about financial challenges and being away from work. A maximum of the patients reported that their quality of life impacted their economic condition. The performance status of the participants was also observed to have a statistically significant association with HRQoL&nbsp;<em>(p &lt; 0.05)</em>.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion</strong></p> <p>According to the findings, cancer patients in the present study had a significant frequency of low to very low HRQoL.</p> 2022-05-01T00:00:00+01:00 Copyright (c) 2022 Innovat International Journal Of Medical & Pharmaceutical Sciences A STUDY ON EFFECT OF VERMICOMPOST VAM FUNGI NITROGEN FIXING BACTERIA AND PHOSPHATE SOLUBILIZING BACTERIA ON GROWTH PARAMETERS AND PHYSIOLOGY OF TRIBULUS TERRESTRIS L. 2022-06-01T17:49:24+01:00 SHAKILA PARVIN J VENKATESWARULU N VIJAYA T <p><strong>Objective: </strong>To find out the effect of biofertilizers on the growth and yield of <em>Tribulus terrestris </em>by using vermicompost, vesicular mycorrhiza (VAM), phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PBS), nitrogen-fixing bacteria individually and in combination under garden house environment.</p> <p><strong>Materials and Methods: </strong>The plant seedlings were gathered at different intervals on the 30th, 60th, and 90th days later the transplantations. By the inoculation of vermicompost, VAM fungi, and phosphate solubilizing, nitrogen-fixing microorganisms shows in improvement of growth parameters as like plant shoot height, root length, a number of leaves, leaf area, fresh shoot biomass and fresh root biomass, dry shoot biomass and dry root biomass, chlorophyll content, reducing sugar and non-reducing sugar, starch, protein and lipid content in the root samples.</p> <p><strong>Results: </strong>The result highlights the significance of biofertilizer inoculations for the fast development of seedlings of a medicinal plant (<em>Tribulus terrestris</em>) grown in a garden house and shows the benefit of inoculating soil with fewer microbial inhabitants with aboriginal microbes.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Overall results revealed that the biofertilizers are the better supplements that can improve and show the maximum growth and yield with all inoculations than the individual.</p> 2021-05-01T00:00:00+01:00 Copyright (c) 2022 Innovat International Journal Of Medical & Pharmaceutical Sciences AN ANTHOLOGY OF ACUTE STRESS DISORDER 2022-05-27T10:32:21+01:00 VANDANA SHYAM SHIVAM SHARMA SHWETA AGGARWAL PRIYANKA SEN ANIL KUMAR <p>Acute stress disorder can start for as little as two days and last for weeks to months. It is the first trauma reaction that occurs after being exposed to trauma and stressors. The "fight-or-flight" response is linked to the stress response.
