AN IN-DEPTH STUDY ON DOSAGE FORM DEVELOPMENT IN EFFERVESCENT FORM OF PREDNISOLONE SALT

Abstract
Prednisolone sodium phosphate is the glucocorticoid used mainly for inflammation related disorder, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. Generally liquid dosage forms are frequently preferred over the convectional tablets due to objectionable bitter taste because taste can be diluted with the use of sweeteners or other taste masking techniques. Prednisolone sodium phosphate less stable in the liquid dosage form, for this reason effervescent formulation can be used as the alternative to the liquid dosage form. Effervescent dosage form are quite popular in which tablets is dissolve in glass of water and taken. In this investigation detail study of prednisolone sodium phosphate as effervescent formulation has been carried out.
